A4 Sounds is an artist run collective and art space. We curate interactive art exhibitions and events with an emphasis on inclusion and participation.

Our workshop and studio is situated in Harold’s Cross, Dublin but our members are dotted all over, from Galway and Belfast to Canada, Hong Kong, Australia and the States.

We consist of Textile Artists, Print Artists, Painters, Model-Makers, Filmmakers, Photographers, Sculptors, Graphic Designers, Illustrators, Engineers, Animators, Musicians and Composers.A4sounds logo

A4 Sounds started in Dec 2008 as way of combining the energy of a music event with the environment of an art gallery. We wanted to create a space where people could feel involved with what was going on around them and encourage more people to engage with the arts. We decided to give the audience an equal role in the show, so far this role has been art based using illustrations, paintings and mechanical sculptures but in future we hope to experiment with interactive video and sound.

We held out first exhibition in January 2009 at the Joy Gallery in Dublin. Since then we have exhibited with Catalyst Arts in Belfast, 126 in Galway, The Back Loft, Oh Francis magazine at The Fringe Festival in Dublin and The Cellar in Santiago, Chile.

Over the next year all the members hope to host workshops from their skilled area. These will be open to the public and information will be posted here and our other sites.
